At Little Dell Music Studio, we believe that music is meant to be shared with others.
Band Basics is our answer to the need for a beginner performance group without the pressure of an impending performance.
Who is this class for?
• Band Basics is open to all students aged 7-17 who are totally new to music (suggested 6-12 months of lessons before joining)
How does it work?
• Your student will attend weekly 55 minutes rehearsals lead by a professional musician and music educator • Your child will be assigned a part to play within the ensemble, to learn with their private teacher and practice with the group.
Will there be a performance?
• There are no planned performances for Band Basics.
When can my child start Little Dell Rock Band (themed student band)?
• While this varies from student to student, we have a comprehensive list of benchmark goals that we expect students to have achieved before graduating into our intermediate performance group.
• The time spent in Band Basics, depending on age and commitment level, could be as little as 1 session and as many as 3 or 4.

At Little Dell, we expect our students to practice around 5x/week. Students should expect to work on their assigned material with their private teachers, in addition to their regular lesson workload. Students WILL be getting assistance from the band directors during rehearsals, as well.
Rehearsals are taught weekly for 55 minutes.
Band Basics has a cap of 5 students maximum.
